Tioga County Public Health 2025 Team Member of the Second Quarter

Congratulations to Misty Malmstrom for being named the 2025 Team Member of the Second Quarter for Tioga County Public Health!

Misty joined Tioga County Public Health in April 2024 as an Office Specialist III, assisting with our Early Intervention, Lead Poisoning Prevention, Welcome Baby, and Immunization programs. Misty is the first face you see when you enter our clinic, always greeting the public with politeness and a smile. She has become an integral part of our team, taking personal ownership of her tasks while assisting others at every turn. She actively seeks to be a part of Public Health events, like rabies clinics, community and outreach activities, and voluntarily takes on additional tasks to help the rest of the team.

Misty places a high level of attention to detail in everything she does. She has excelled in juggling the various responsibilities in her role, without ever missing a deadline. Misty is also incredibly efficient in her role, whether it’s supporting other coworkers so they can focus on providing outreach and services to the community, or brainstorming new ideas to help the entire department run more smoothly.

Anyone that has had the opportunity to interact with Misty can attest to her ability to communicate well with the public, our Early Intervention providers, and her coworkers. When Misty commits to doing something, she does it, and does it well.

Misty is a proud mom of two and a long-time resident of Owego. In her free time, she can be found supporting her children in their endeavors, whether its academic or athletics.
